Predators 

Cheetahs are the main predator of rock hyrax.

The hyrax is also preyed upon by snakes, eagles, owls, jackals, mongooses, and various types of cats.

While the hyrax avoids predators by using burrows that are smaller in diameter than most predators in its environment.
