Huge, high-statured animals native to hot deserts.

They are characterized by enduring their harsh environmental conditions and patience with the lack of food and water.

It was mentioned in the Holy Qur’an when He, Glory be to Him, said:

Do not look at camels as they were created, and in other verses.

What is the definition of a sentence in grammar?

The camel genus has two types:

unicorn camels (they also call them Arabian camels), and two-humped camels (or factors)

.  Camels originated in North America about 40 million years ago, and spread from there to South America and Asia about a million years ago before disappearing completely from the regions in which they originated.  Four small species belonging to the camel family spread in South America: the llama, the alpaca, the guanaco, and the vicuna.

What is the meaning of sentence and its types?

  Dromedary :

It is the species that has one hump.  The single-humped dromedary is the most important animal in the arid and semi-arid regions of North and East Africa, the Arabian Peninsula and Iran, providing the basic needs of millions of people.  It has been used for thousands of years to obtain milk and meat and also as a means of transportation in the desert, due to its enormous ability to withstand harsh environments.

Arabian camels are widespread in India, the Middle East, and North Africa،  It is domesticated in these areas.  About 25,000 of them live in Australia in a toxic manner

 Camel and thirst:

It is true that the camel thirsts, but this animal, which humans domesticated about 6 thousand years ago, tolerates drought for a longer period than others, in a harsh environment, its air is devoid of water and its sand is barren،  He is a desert ship.

The reason for this is the two developed camel kidneys that are able to produce urine in a very high concentration without wasting body fluids.

 Strange information about sentences :

The most prominent information about the camel animal is the following:

1-He can drink 0.18 m³ of water at once.

The camel maintains its humidity in the desert by drinking large amounts of water when the opportunity allows him to do so؛  It can drink approximately 0.18 m³ of water at once.

2-Its numbers exceed more than 14 million camels.

There are more than 14 million camels in the world.

Most of them can be found in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

3-His body can lose 25% of the water without becoming dehydrated.

All mammals, including humans, can lose approximately 15% of the water from their bodies before they become dehydrated،  However, the camel is the only mammal whose body can lose 25% of the water before it becomes dehydrated, and therefore it is able to live for a long time without water.

4-A camel spits when it feels threatened.

Some people believe that a camel spits only for fun, but this is not true, as it spits on a camel when it feels threatened, and therefore others must treat it kindly to treat them the same way.

5-The wild-humped camel is one of the harshest species.

The wild-humped camel is considered a very tough animal to handle, and it is also the only type of camel that has not been domesticated or tamed،  Less than a thousand camels currently live in the wastelands of East Asia.

6-Its hair reflects the sun’s rays.

The camel maintains its body temperature through its hair, which covers its body،  Although it appears to be a dense cooper, it can reflect sunlight, making it an ideal cover in the desert environment.

It can run at a speed of 64.37 km/h.

The average natural camel speed is 40.23 km/h, but it can run at high speed for a short period of up to 64.37 km/h.

7-Young camels are born without a hump.

The period of camel birth is the only period in which a camel can be seen without a hump, as young camels are born without a hump،  When it reaches an age where it can eat solids, the hump begins to grow gradually.

8-Water is not stored in its hump.

Many believe that the camel stores water in its hump, but on the contrary, it does not store water in its hump, but rather uses it only to store fat،  Which transforms when water and energy are needed to enable it to survive, as a camel that stores a large amount of fat in its hump can keep it alive for two weeks without water or food

The secret of the dromedary’s steadfastness for weeks without water:

What is the secret ingredient in beauty bodies that enables them to survive for weeks without even a sip of water.

A set of powerful biological tricks enables camels to preserve every drop of water, including large noses, and their ability to swallow hundreds of liters within minutes when water is available, then absorb it slowly to avoid osmotic shock،  In addition, their body temperature fluctuates from 31 to 41 degrees Celsius to reduce sweating.

For humans, when water in the body decreases, the kidneys maintain as much moisture as possible, as the water is filtered into tubes in an area called the cortex،  It flows to another part called the medulla.  Here, ions from the dissolved salt are pumped through the membranes to cause a defect that forces part of the water back into the blood, and the rest carries the waste away through the urine.  As for beauty, it can concentrate urine to the maximum degree.

Through a massive study examining genes in dromedary kidney cells, a team of researchers compared those found in drought-stricken camels and camels that had recently been filled with water.

Fernando Alvera Erezos, an animal physiologist at the University of Bristol, says:

"We identified hundreds of genes and proteins that significantly changed both the renal cortex and medulla in dehydrated and treated animals compared to controls".  Researchers have shown that many genes in drought-stricken camels are involved in the inhibition of fatty cholesterol in kidney cells.  Therefore, the research team measured the amount of cholesterol in kidney plasma membranes in dehydrated animals.

They found that drought-stricken camels actually contained less cholesterol in their renal cell membranes than wet ones،  Furthermore, gene coding for the transport of ions and water channels through cell membranes has been expressed more in the kidney cells of drought-stricken camels.  Taken together, these findings support the team's intuition that suppressing cholesterol caused by dehydration allows camels to cling to more water in the kidneys.

Scientists explain that a lower amount of cholesterol in the kidney cell membrane would facilitate the movement of solutes and water through different sections of the kidney, a process required for efficient water reabsorption and production of highly concentrated urine.  Thus avoiding water loss.  In our rapidly warming world, livestock that can withstand extreme conditions are more important than ever.  So researchers are now working on a similar analysis of the camel brain, and plan to look at the gene expression response to severe drought in other arid mammals, such as the magnificent rodent called the gerbil.
